She looks like a typical French child of the early Victorian era. This rare and beautiful Bebe is a bisque socket head made by Gebrüder Kühnlenz around 1890. She stands 16" on her original jointed wood and composition body and original finish. Her bisque is excellent without hairlines, cracks or repairs. She has alluring dark brown hand blown glass eyes, hand painted upper and lower lashes and heavy feathered brown brows of the French manner. ...She has a cute dimple in her chin and her mouth is almost closed with the four square small teeth. She is wearing her original human hair wig, she has pierced ears and is wearing glass earrings. Rare Mark: Gebr. 165 K, below number 5 and Germany below that. Costumed with her original cream and blue striped dress, brown socks and has a baby blue ribbon in her hair. She looks like a typical French child of the early Victorian era. Condition: Her bisque is great, with high quality modeling and painting of features, without cracks, chips, or restoration. Her left thumb is chipped and a little dirty but overall she’s in fantastic condition, and would make a fine addition to any cabinet collection. Smoke free home. No longer accepting bids from Russia.
