Description:A glazed phrenological bust by Lorenzo Niles Fowler (1811-1896) displaying 42 phrenological organs and their names on one side and their seven collective groupings on the other. Fowler's own additions such as Conjugality (Love of Matrimony) and Sublimity (Love of Grandeur) are present. This bust bears the address: 107, Fleet Street, London, w...here Fowler had his own practice (Ludgate Circus) in the late 19th c. Condition: Used, has a chip on the bottom (see pictures) Some of the writing is worn on the back of the skull (see attached picture).
