GORGEOUS Vintage 1870's Tulip Bordr and Trailing Vines Pots Of Tulips Rare Checker Board Applique Antique Quilt ~UNUSUAL DESIGN!This DAZZLING cotton 1870's (could be earlier) red, and green Tulip Checker Board quilt is hand appliqued and hand quilted, with a Eight-block configuration. The quilt came out of Pennsylvania.It measures 83" X 84" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of small, inconspicuous age spots and no wear. The quilt feels strong and sturdy overall. The qui...lting is SUPERB, with double straight line and lattice designs quilted throughout at an even 7-8 stitches to the inch. The back is white, the hand stitched binding is solid White , and the batting is thin. You can see cotton seed residue inside when you hold the quilt up to the light.
