Very rare and original, ca1900 Native American Great Lakes Indian Tribe Loom Beaded, Draw String Pouch / Bag.
This delicate and very beautiful, Great Lakes Loom Beaded Bag measures approx. 7" long overall (including fringe) and 4" wide at the widest point. The delicate Pouch is unlined and made in the form of a Victorian Mesh Bag.
This wonderful Great Lakes Pouch features an intricate, geometric design with beaded fringe at the bott...om. The throat features a mesh cloth border and the bag retains its original, matching braided silk drawstring,
The Great Lakes Indian Pouch offered here is unconditionally guaranteed original and of the period. This very rare and original, ca1900 Loom Beaded Bag is in very good+ condition. The delicate body of the Bag is intact and sound with no physical damage or repairs of any kind and with no bead loss. The only damage to the Pouch is the loss of three of the bead loops of the fringe as can be seen in the scans below. The Bag retains its original, braided silk drawstring. All elements of the Bag are original and there has been no repairs or restorations.
