According to the one and only original owner of this pipe, he purchased it direct from Anne Julie in the very early days right when she started using her signature red/white dot which was originally associated with Suhr pipes where her late husband Poul Rasmussen worked. It shows profound Danish influence and while it looks like a Billiard it leans more towards Brandy with it's wide base and actually has a nice forward cant. The walls are thick and surround the deep generous chamber. T...his pipe is quite lightweight for its size at only 35g and the texture is awesome in hand. Shank is oval and tapers just a touch to meet the original vulcanite saddle stem with signature Anne Julie half red half white inlaid dot as previously noted. The finish is a medium golden brown and the rustication must have been painstakingly time consuming as it is super deep with high relief! An opportunity to acquire an early piece from one of Denmark's finest carvers of all time.

Condition: Excellent. Chamber is clean and sound. Rim shows a hint of residual darkening with a touch of wear. Stem has one tiny mark on the underside but is otherwise crisp. Weight: 35g
