It is a fine specimen of Tharsis dubius from the Jurassic of Germany. This wonderful&n...bsp;fossil was recently acquired from the renowned Snider Collection. This excellent specimen has been cleaned by hand with fine needles, not air scribes or grinders. This unusual fish is extremely well articulated - the vertebrae are all in place, and the bone structure is preserved in fine form. The tiny tail of the fish is beautifully preserved - the many rays are almost perfect! The distinct fish has very good color and fine contrast and is well showcased on a large, squared, unbroken slab of lithographic limestone. This is a very collectible specimen of this unusual fish from a classic European location.
