Set of (6) fabulous antique porcelain cabinet plates, meticulously hand painted .. featuring elegant portraits of royalty or aristocratic women. Upswept and curled hair a...dorned with flowers and tiaras; delicate facial features; lace-trimmed dresses and shawls; pearls and jewels. One with breast exposed, all with ample blushing décolleté. The portrait medallions are framed in gold, with gilt paste beads all around; garlands of flowers, roses and French trophy motifs ~ including coronas, flower baskets, doves with rings, urns with flowers, scrolls, shells, bows, and ornaments. Slender cobalt bands, with gilt paste beads. Scalloped rims, with gilt accents. Apx 7 3/8" diameter. No artist signature noted. Marked "TK .. Thuny .. Czechoslovakia", with a crown logo, in green. One has a small kiln or mold flaw on the back side rim (see close-up); otherwise very good condition .. no chips, cracks, or damage. Enlarge photos for detail.
