Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of this unique material from Sterling Hill!!! This specimen hosts a sharp, complete, doubly terminated black willemite crystal in addition to several others set in a matrix of pink calcite in associa...tion with tan colored fluorite!!! The crystals range in size up to 3.3cm and exhibit characteristic color with sharply defined faces and areas of marked luster as well!!! The calcite has a handsome pink hue and the areas of fluorite exhibit characteristic cleavage with slight translucence!!! The willemite exhibits a slightly muted green fluorescence under SW UV as is characteristic of this unique material, and the calcite exhibits a slightly reddish hue under SW UV as well!!! The fluorite exhibits a slightly blue-green hue under SW and a blue purple color under LW - and also shows a noticeable phosphorescence (lingering green glow) for a brief moment after exposure to both!!! This is a magnificent example of this unusual material!!! Ex. George Elling collection!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
