GREAT SIZE, WELL MADE ~ 4" inch Jaws, weighs 43 pounds COLUMBIAN stamped 604 ~ WORKS well ~ Swivel Lock rod has a bend, nothing horrible, rust pitts Initially getting the Swivel Base Lock to release was a challenge more than the Bar Travel - WORKS FINE NOW. ~
The actual story on this: bought years ago - mounted to a Home Garage Workbench, seldom used, over the years the garage weathered and finally the roof leaked. The Vise sat for decades on that old wood work bench, the rain.../snow rusted it into the last used position. We got the job of cleaning up that old dilapidated garage and the Vise was there, still attached to old rotted wood that was the bench at one time. I soaked it in penetrating oil over one winter then slowly massaged it back into operational, oil, wire brush more oil, more wire brush. Its a Survivor. From the good condition of the jaws I say its little used, ready to go to work, looking for a new home. ~SHIPPING COSTS have gotten so out of hand, but I feel okay with Free Ship Anywhere USA at the Buy It Now Price, I get a fair price, you get a Great Vise ~
