You are bidding on 10 x Triceratops shed teeth (known as "spitters") which were found in the Hell Creek Formation on private land with permission in Powder River County, Montana. These teeth date back to the Late Cretaceous approximately 66-67 million years ago and were each found in one piece as isolated teeth in an ancient river channel. "Spitters" are teeth that have been used extensively for feeding by the Triceratops herbivores and when they have gone through their useful life, ar...e shed by the animal and replaced by a new tooth. Each of these teeth shows evidence of the worn original crown of the tooth and some of the root. The teeth range in size from 0.52" to 0.97".
