Offering a collectible vintage rare General Electric 6 Brass Blade fabulous 12 inch Fan in working condition. This remarkable item was found in an old storage building. It is all original with brass tags, and brass G.E. insignia on fan cover. We replaced the old cord, with one (not a match) that we had, to check if everything works and it does. The fan starts and runs well, it also oscillates nicely and does not get hot after long run time. We removed the ...fan cage to strip the old paint, especially off the "GE" center insignia, polished it slightly and painted it black. Even though this rare old fan works, we would recommend that it be professionally restored and serviced to the buyers specifications (color, bearings, bottom base cover, original type of power cord, etc.) or could be used as is. We will note that when we removed the fan blade cage, we did not notice how the brace brackets were and could not get it to fit properly with all 3 brackets (were informed that the fan cage is not the right one for the fan, but looks great and could be adapted to fit the fan with different brackets?). It seems the fan is from 1916 and the fan cage is from the 1920-30's. We could not find another fan just like this one and that is why we are providing the information in this listing, to emphasize how such a rare item should be professionally restored and once done, no telling what it would be worth. We would appreciate inputs, perhaps we should list the items individually???
