Nearly a century of family history is covered. Beginning in 1899 by Edward Gage (1854-1939) whose accounts continue through the 1920's. WWI, Stock Market Crash recognized. Edward's son Carl W. Gage continues his writing through the mid century. Edward A. Gage (1919-2007) was presented with his first diary in the early 1930's(included) and documents daily living for over a half a century. He was Navy pilot who saw combat in the Pacific Theater in WWII, later worked on the Eisenhower campaign in NYC, and was a member of the NH House of Representatives. He was later appointed a Judge.Carl W. Gage's wife Janette has 3 five year diaries in the collection which include many personal letters, cards, and mementos. Peggy Clark, Edward A.'s wife, also contributed to the collection, with personal content of her relationship with Edward..
Peggy and Edward A's son Thomas continued the family tradition of law and politics in NH.
