Antique Chinese Black Silk Colorful Pastel Embroidered Crane Medallion Roundels Robe
This antique Chinese black silk colorful pastel embroidered crane medallion roundels robe dates from the 1920s. It is made of a black silk fabric with colorful pastel raised padded satin stitch hand embroidered crane bird flower roundels medallions, with peony flowers, waves of water embroidered along the bottom, sleeves cuffs, auspicious symbols and the swastika Chinese... character which means ten thousand and longevity. The crane is also a symbol of longevity and immortality. There are blue and gold lame silk damask weave woven decorative designs trim edging. This beautiful crane surcoat style robe has a short, loose fitting style, with long full flared wide sleeves, side slit vents, knotted toggle button closures down the front and is fully lined in a pink silk fabric inside. The robe measures 25 inches long, with a 36 inch chest, 48 inch waist and hips. It is in excellent condition. This is truly an amazing piece of Chinese crane wearable art!
