Description/Interesting Notes: A fantastic example of precious opal from this famous Australian locale!!! This specimen consists of a highly translucent, somewhat bulbous mass of precious opal that has been polished on one side and exhibits a striking purplish blue fire that is much more dramatic than the pics show!!! The crystal is... much more three dimensional in person - and it is also much more translucent throughout as well!!! In person the specimen has an overall purplish-blue glow with intense flashes of electric blue and green!!! The opal is highly translucent and polished to a very glassy, brilliant luster!!! This specimen is in fantastic condition and displays gorgeously in person!!! This is fine gem rough but has been polished to make for a very attractive specimen as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!! Must be seen in person to be fully appreciated!!!Good luck and be sure to check out my other exciting mineral auctions on ebay!!!
