Sterling Silver Concho belt by Navajo artist Orville Tsinnie (1943-2017). The buckle on this leather belt is stamped with the sterling mark and the makers mark indicating made in New Mexico and in collaboration with is wife Darlene Tsinnie. Orville had worked for the Navajo Nation before becoming a full time artist in 1973. He went on to accumulate awards in Santa Fe, Gallup, Scottsdale, Denver, Pasadena and at the Heard. The belt measures 32 3/4 inches from the first notch to the tip ...of the buckle to 36 inches at the furthest notch. The conch is are 1 7/8 x 2 1/4 while the buckle is 2 1/4 x 2 5/8. Nice detail design on the Concho.
