Description/Interesting Notes: An extraordinary example of stephanite from this historic German locale!!! This specimen consists of an impressive cluster of highly complex, leaf-like crystals of dark grayish metallic stephanite!!! These incredibly complex crystals exhibit fine, shar...ply defined features and faces with lively metallic luster!!! The crystals are simply amazing for the species and the specimen is much more three dimensional than the pics show!!! The highly complex detail combined with metallic luster make it difficult to capture in the pics - however it is an impressive and significant stephanite indeed!!! This specimen is in magnificent condition and displays gorgeously in person!!! This specimen is from the personal collection of Herb Obodda and retains its original label in addition to an old, affixed, Humboldt University label as well!!! The pics hardly do it justice!!!
