Museum Grade Misszhouia Fossil, Great Legs Early Cambrian Chengjiang Biota

Item History & Price

Information:
Reference Number: Avaluer:4272653Country/Region of Manufacture: Unknown
Original Description:
Misszhouia longicaudata This specimen has the best preserved legs I've ever seen. Also, it's well prepared by a specialist in Chengjiang fossil preparation. *The Chengjiang Biota is the oldest and most famous of the four biotas that feature exceptional preservation in the Malong/Kunming area. It underlies the younger Xiaoshiba Biota, which has recently yielded many fascinating arthropods such as Zhiwenia, Alacaris, Chengjiangocaris and Fuxianhuia xiaoshibaensis.Underlying this is ...Malong Biota, which yields the widest diversity of trilobite genera (Paramalungia, Yinites etc) of any of the four biotas. The youngest of the four, the Guanshan Biota, is  poorly studied but promises a faunal diversity on par with the Chengjiang Biota.
