19TH CENTURY PIPE TOMAHAWK - SIOUX BEADED DROP

Up for auction is a 19th Century Pipe Tomahawk. It comes with a Sioux Beaded Drop. This hawk measures 20-3/4" long overall. The head is a hand forged head. The head is 6" long. The bowl of the hawk is fauceted. More than likely it is the exterior of the barrel. 8 sided. The bowl comes off the head about 1-3/4" and the outside of the bowl is just under 1" in diameter. The inside of the bowl is just over 1/2" in diameter. You can see the inside of the barrel and rifling. The eye is... oval. The bit of the hawk has a seam where a harder piece was forged into the bit. It has some file work in 2 places on the outside of the eye where it has been tallied and filed. There are 21 tacks on the piece. It was once file branded blackened and most likely painted at one time. There is one suspension hole for the drop. The drop is beaded and Soux. It has a cross on it. The drop should date 1890's. The drop measures 15-1/2" long. It is a triangle shaped and is 3-1/2" wide at the bottom. It has a trade cross on it. The trade cross reads, Missouri.
