Wonderful 18" Philadelphia Baby. The doll was made in 1900 and sold as the Rag Baby in the J.B. Sheppard and Co store...Molded Stockinette and hand painted features. The sweet doll is in excellent condition with minor and expected wear due to age. There is paint/finish loss on the chin and tip of the nose. It is magnified in the pics due to flash. It is very tolerable to the naked eye and in person. Her body is firmly stuffed with do damage Age soiling is evident but minimal and tolera...ble. NO rips tears or bad odors....The doll is beautifully dressed in an antique baby doll gown. it may be original to the doll. There is wear and a few small holes in the gown. under the dressing gown are antique under clothes and red knitted booties. All paint is original. I did black light the finish. Its all original. She has a beautiful sweet serene appeal. This is the final time this doll will be relisted online. As of June 2 it will be going to a doll show we are selling at and I am certain she will sell there or at one of the several shows we are doing this summer....Last chance to get her here...Opening bid is below our cost so take a chance and open it.
