The tintype itself, when removed from the preserver, measures approximately 2-11/16” x 3-3/16”.When loose, you can see that the tintype has an obviousshadow from the mat. The tintype has light scratching, dullness and related surfacewear that is most easily recognized with a bright light. The black spots andlines to the top area are surface loss, superficial loss of the image. The bottomleft area has at least two faint be...nd lines, one of which goes up to the lowerbutton on her jacket (tried to show in the ninth photo).It is only half a case. The other half is missing. The preserversits high in the case, and there’s some movement, so it may not be the originalcase. I don’t know. This is how the item came, so I am leaving it as found.The tintype is under glass. The preserver is bent up withlots of waviness. The mat has a nasty amount of crusty green corrosion. Thecase exterior is rough with evident wear.Please look to the provided pics to best judge what you arebidding on.I have more photos from the same estate collection listedthis week.
