I’ve gone for months now avoiding having to do this BUT...... Due to the nearly pandemic number of non-paying and late paying bidders, and the fact I’m spending as much time trying to to get auction winners to pay for what they purchased 4 and 5 days earlier it’s become necessary for me to put the following policy in place. So starting immediately payment is due within 48 hours. If payment is not received in that time a non-paying bidder case ...will automatically be opened with eBay. This may seem harsh to some but it is necessary because of the actions of the few. Few being as many as 11 at once at times. Bidders with 350+ positive feedbacks and customers with which I’ve had previous successful transactions are exempt from the requirements and I thank those customers very much. If you are bidding on multiple knives I can waive the 48 hour rule. Just let me know and hold payment until I can send you an invoice to save you on shipping.

This is an Unused and Unsharpened Vintage A.C. MFG. CO. MARINETTE (Aerial Cutlery Mfg. Co) 1-Blade Equal End Cigar Jack Picture, or High Art, Folding Pocket Knife with a Single Unused and Unsharpened Carbon Steel Fat Spear Point Main Blade with its Original Factory Finish and its Original Factory Edge and Only a Few Minor Pepper Spots, a Great Set of Clear Celluloid over a Black and Gold Paper Substate with Drawings of Old Automobiles and in Excellent Condition with No Cracks, Splits or Missing Chips, Three Nickel Silver Handle Pins in Each Scale, Large Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Rounded Bolsters and End Caps, Nickel Silver Liners, a Single Heavy Duty Steel Back Spring with No Cracks or Breaks, 3 3/4” in Length and Made by the Aerial Cutlery (Mfg.) Company that was Located in MARINETTE, Wisconsin and Made Between c.1912-1944.
First off, it’s feasible the blade has been professionally cleaned and polished, but in my opinion it’s the original factory finish. This is probably one of, if not, the finest high art or picture knives I’ve ever seen. Novelty, Canton and Aerial were the Big 3 of the day producing the often one of a kind picture knives. The knife has a single unused and unsharpened carbon steel spear point blade. It still maintains its original factory finish and its original factory edge meaning the blade is 100% full. The front face is clean and the rear face has just a very few minor pepper spots along the top of the blade and a small cluster on the rear tang. Stamped on the front tang is A.C. MFG. Co. (over) MARINETTE. The blade has great snap on open but gets much tighter in the frame when closing and must be pushed to close. The knife has an excellent set of clear celluloid over a printed black and gold paper substrate. Both scales are solid black blocks on each end with each scale have a black printing of different antique cars on a gold background. With the cars printed on the scales and not something more personal an individual would order makes me believe this knife may have been a salesman’s sample. That and it’s superlative condition. The scales are in excellent plus condition with no cracks, splits, crazing or missing chips. There are three nickel silver handle pins in each scale. The knife has brightly polished nickel silver rounded bolsters and end caps. They’re free of any dents and have only a minor ding or two. The liners appear to be nickel silver as well. The knife has a single steel back spring with no cracks or breaks and it continues to perform the functions it was designed to perform. This beautiful example of an old high art picture knife in excellent condition is 3 3/4” in length. Additional information or photos on request.

Knife will be safely packaged in bubble wrap and shipped in a box to reduce chances of damage. I will ship multiple purchases together to reduce shipping costs. If you win multiple items and want me to ship them together don't pay right away. Wait for me to send you an invoice reflecting the reduced shipping cost. If you win a knife or knives on one day and are going to bid on knives within 5 days of the first purchase just let me know and I will gladly hold the invoice until you inform me or when the 5 days is completed. But be aware after 5 calendar days I will send you an invoice for any knives purchased up to that point. I may make exceptions for buyers with exceptionally high ratings and a high number of feedbacks. Be aware that more than three knives may go over the weight limit of 16 oz for 1st class and may require different packaging and shipping costs. I keep shipping costs to only the price charged by USPS.
