2 5/8" x 9" [fringe included] silk ribbon worn by a member of the "Kings County [Brooklyn] Republican Organization" at the "Inauguration Theodore Roosevelt Washington March 4th, 1905". The "drop" is an 1 3/4" sepia-tone real photo button of TR, made by Baltimore badge. The lettering is gold-stamped, there is gold metallic fringe and trim. The pin is missing. The ribbon was glued into an album at one time and subsequently removed, causing three washed-out spots, the largest of which is ...covered by the button. The two brown spots at the top of the button are not stains, but part of the photo. The button typically appears in 7/8" and sometimes 1 1/4", but may be unique in this large size. The silk on these ribbons often is faded and brittle. Not so here. The blue is vibrant and the gold-stamped lettering strong. It is a very showy and rare piece which will greatly enhance any collection of TR items.
