*** Antique Chinese Pair of FINE Embroideries-Animals/People/Trees *** From a collection of antique Chinese textiles comes this pair of 7" wide by 10" long Chinese silk and metallic embroideries on celadon colored silk. The embroidery is spectacular and dense. The colors are lush. Waves, clothing, peoples' faces are all done in exceptional satin stitch. The toad and clouds are all done in the tiniest couching. The scene on the left panel depicts 2 people in a garden with a pon...d with its toad and lilies, and trees in the background. It is complete. The panel on the right features 2 people leading a cart of fruits over a bridge with water below. Beautiful trees frame either side of the background. The left hand tree and the wagon wheels have not been completed. The wildlife, people, and greenery are all beautifully presented! Buyer pays shipping. All purchases over $100 USD must be insured.
