We allow collection of this item from our Hawthorn East (Melbourne) location within 10 days of auction end, cash on pick up welcome.A large and very impressive Art Deco ‘Diana’ lamp. I have reason to believe this particular take on the Diana Female theme is a locally made production- distinguished by its Impish looking face to the naked lady. I also suspect this a slightly l...arger cast metal version than other chrome plated ones I've handled? This example has an original all over bronzed enamel finish. This warm patina suits the mottled semi opaque glass globe shade perfectly and I suspect the glass shade to be original to the lamp- however it’s hard to say, certainly it’s an original Deco era shade and is in excellent condition. Its diameter is an impressive 20cm approx.The shade secures snugly into the metal gallery ring with three adjustable turn screws. Inside the lamp takes a standard size bayonet fit globe and has a switch fitted as shown. Use a new style LED globe and this will last for years and never get too hot etc.. Excellent quality and condition here- safely wired and perfect working condition- just plug in and enjoy!Assembled the lamp stands approx 50cm, total weight is approx 2.5 Kilos.
