This sale features an array of fine Scholarly objects including snuff bottles, a very rare bird feeder collection, fine jade and stone carvings and other interes...ting scholarly objects. The sale features a combination of items including the snuff bottles from the late Professor Peter Greiner estate collection, Cowperthwaite family collection, and William Lipton bird feeders plus other scholarly objects collection. Up for auction is a VERY FINE 18THC CHINESE QIANLONG MANDARIN FAMILLE ROSE ENAMEL FIGURAL PUNCH BOWL. A very nice period example that has two large and finely painted figural landscapes. The punch bowl has many interesting painted designs throughout and includes both underglazed blue and white and enamel designs. I also particularly like the interior that has a nicely decorated border and a large pomegranate with foliage to the center.
Condition: Minor wear and imperfections consistent with antique age including one minor chip to rim as seen. The punch bowl is otherwise in substantially fine and unaltered original condition with no cracks or repairs. All items studied under UV light to ensure no hidden damage.
Size: The bowl measures 10 1/2 inches wide, by 5 inches tall, and 6 1/2 inches tall including stand.
