Fender original 65 Jazzmaster vintage instrument. Condition is Used. This is a 1965 Fender Jazzmaster in great playing condition. All original EXCEPT the bridge has been changed to a Mastery Bridge (much better tone and intonation than the original) Original bridge is in the case (but you won't want to re-install it). The finish is thin nitrocellulose lacquer that is non original but very well done some time back. The headstock has been oversprayed with clear lacquer (I assume to prote...ct the decal). Pots, pickups, pickguard, tuning machines, frets, trem system, switches, knobs, Braz Rosewood fingerboard etc. are all original to the instrument. The case is a modern version of the case it would have shipped in back in 65 but it is brand new and looks and functions well. Serial number L68744 indicates the instrument was made in the Fullerton Plant in 1965 (Pre-CBS era). Position markers are pearl dots which indicate it was made early in 65 prior to CBS taking over. The body wood may be Alder, Ash, or Basswood but I am not sure which this one is. The neck has a wonderful played-in feel and texture. The action is butter with no buzzes anywhere and good intonation. This is a great player Jazzmaster. If you are looking for dead original then this is not for you..... but..... if you want a great player with improved intonation and tone over the original then this is the one. Thanks for looking!
