Up for auction is a SUPERB & RARE CHINESE QIANLONG LIME GREEN ENAMEL IMPERIAL HORSES SNUFF BOTTLE. This bottle is a great example being one of my personal favorites from the collection. I have offered many, many hundreds of top quality snuff bottles over the years and I have never seen another one with this very unique design. The design is very reminiscent of examples by the important Imperial Jingdezhen workshop artist Wang Bingrong. The bottle is carved with 8 imperial horses surrounding the bottle with superb details throughout. The bottle has a very unique and vibrant yellowish lime-green glaze. The bottle has a Qianlong base mark and I believe there is a very good chance it may be of the period, if not an earlier 19th century example. The footrim is also finely carved and the bottle has a nice filigree silver lid and came with display stand as seen. I doubt you will find another one like this any time soon!
Condition: The snuff bottle is estate fresh and could use a light cleaning with minor wear to enamel consistent with antique age. The snuff bottle is overall in very fine condition with no damage or repairs. All items inspected under UV light to ensure no hidden damage.
Size: The snuff bottle measures 2 3/8 inches tall, by 2 inches wide, and 3 7/8 inches tall including lid and stand.
