ROMAN NUMERAL 20 = XX OFFICIAL ADULT NUMERAL GUARDTwenty Years of MembershipThis little pin is the Roman NumeralXX and is equivalent to the Arabic #20. Roman numerals were used from 1941 to 1953 and then again from 1957 to1985. So this pin has to be at least 30 years old. The actual size is ¼inch high, and has a little chain to attach to your membership pin. This numeral guard denotes years of membership in the Girl Scouts and it isaccumulative from childh...ood to the present. It is one of the few pins that is officialfor your uniform. It can be worn on thetab, or on the blouse itself. Many adults prefer the Roman Numerals, so I'm not sure why they are no longer inuse. You cannot purchase this pin at aGirl Scout Store because they were discontinued 30 years ago.
