Antique 1820s - 40s Staffordshire PINK & COPPER LUSTER POTTERY PEPPER POT SHAKER

Here is an antique copper luster pottery pepper shaker that measures about 4 5/8" tall. Although unmarked, I believe it was made in Staffordshire, England sometime between the 1820s and 1840s. The bottom third has a section with pink luster trim that's dabbed with small globs of copper luster. On the bottom of the base you can see where a cork once fit (which is now long gone but would be an easy replacement). This pepper pot has no repairs or cracks although there are some slight... wear spots that are mainly visible in the section with the pink luster background. About the only notable condition issues are a few nicks on the ridge below the holes at the top. On the bottom side of the ridge are 3 similar size nicks that are each a little over 1/4" across. Between the second and third similar size nicks are 2 larger nicks (one directly in front of the other) that measure a total of a little over 3/4" across. Lastly, on the top side of the ridge is a much smaller nick that only measures 3/8" across. Fortunately the nicks are not too distracting since most of them are on the bottom part of the ridge. Any overly bright white spots are just glare/reflections from the light. NC buyers must pay 6.75% NC sales tax which will be collected by eBay.
