In keeping with the Egyptianesque fashion following the discovery of the Tutankhamun tomb this box is made in the shape of a sarcophagus. The lid is removed to reveal a compartment to store pins or pen nibs. It is a heavy well cast piece of brass with a lot of attention to its detail. It is in good vintage condition with no faults or damage to report; some light wear and a lovely aging patina. The photos are part of the description and condition report.
