This auction is for a estate fresh scarce William Henry Harrison campaign button made of brass with a deep mold four-hole sew-thru attachment used for sewing heavy thread. It measures 5/8" or 15.75mm. In high relief is Major General Harrison holding a saber sword, sheaf of wheat, plow harness, hay rake, hay fork, stars and vegetation on the ground. It's marked on the back Sherman Bronson & Waterbury. Made by Sherman Bronson a Waterbury button maker for the delegates of the State Co...nvention for the Whig Young Men of the State of Connecticut who assembled at Hartford on February 26, 1840. It has some patina, wear and light scratching. Being sold as-is. Please see photos as they are part of the description. No Reserve.
