Perhaps you saw Allison Janney on Ellen DeGeneres this spring talking about being at home in Dayton, OH on quarantine? She was helping her mother tidy up and organize. One of the things that she mentioned was that her mother had a tremendous number of teatowels.
A few weeks later, our Foundation received a lovely donation of books and other items from the Janney's-- and among them this lovely teatowel!
The kitchen towel is itself somewhat rare as there are just not that... many LL Bean dish towels around. This one is jacquard woven in green and white pattern featuring Maine-related items like loons, moose, trout and pine trees- and features a two blue stripes with the words "L.L. Bean". 17" wide by 27" long, 100 percent cotton, and of course, brand new and never used,
We have left it rolled up in its red bow exactly as it came from the Janney's home. We are happy to include a letter certifying that the provenance of this teatowel if you would like to have one for your records.
