Up for auction is an authentic dinosaur fossil egg, possibly an Oviraptor egg. This fossil egg measures about 5" long. Weight is 13.3 ounces. It is made up of mostly substrate, much of the shell is gone but still has sections of the shell intact. The shell pieces are very fragile and detailed, and clearly show the outer texture. In the substrate there are a few white objects poking through which may be bone or just small rock pieces. In it's current condition it is perfect as a display... or educational piece.
This is NOT a reproduction- it is the real thing. It is an actual fossil that can still be explored for it's possible contents. Personally I would rather leave it in it's current state.
This is a fossil that I purchased some time ago here on Ebay and I do not know any of the historical background. I will say that it is a beautiful piece and very display worthy. Make sure to check the different shipping options.
