A beautiful fragment of fossil coral geode from Georgia. The botryoidal formations are composed of thick translucent agate. Fluoresces brightly!Excellent addition to a rock, mineral, or fossil collection. Excellent material for jewelry, cabochon, craft applications. Outside shows the structure of the ancient coral. Photos taken dry. Approximate overall measurements are 2.5" x 1.5" x 1". Georgia fossil coral is approx. 25-45 million years old, is around 7 on the Moh's s...cale, and is highly prized for jewelry and lapidary work. These fragments and geodes require a lot of time and work to collect.
