                             Description
Petrified Wood fossils are the physical remnants of extremely ancient trees, some dating as far back as 170 billion years. The process begins as different minerals penetrate the cell walls of trees that have died in the heavy sediment of a river or floodplain. Volcanic ash was often a primary mineral component, as was chalcedony and quartz. It is believed that the addition of iron-rich groundwater created the rainbow of colors that we see in the petrified wood fossils today.  In metaphysics, petrified wood provides for strength in all areas of one’s life, much like the ancient tree it came from. It is believed when one meditates with petrified wood, it may help to bring forth memories of past lives.

                Do I get exactly what's in the photograph?
Yes! When you purchase an item at Yeller's Barn you can be certain you will receive the exact specimen that is depicted in the listing, unless otherwise stated. Some of our bulk listings will be similar but not exact. That info can be found in the additional notes section of the description.
Photographs are taken with a Canon digital Point & Shoot. Photo box is illuminated with incandescent bulbs. We do our very best to provide our consumers with the most accurate and clear depiction of our products. In rare instances, a color variation can be detected, depending on your monitor type and settings. Clear crystals and white specimen may have a slight pink hue, which is not consistent with an in-person view.

We here at Yeller's Barn like to enjoy our Colorado weekends. Any messages received after 5pm MST Friday will be addressed first thing Monday morning. Requests for combined shipping invoices will be processed Sunday evenings, so that shipments can be made Monday.

                         Do you ship internationally?
We accommodate international customers by utilizing Ebay's Global shipping program. The shipping charges for all international orders will be determined by Ebay's automated shipping calculator. Sorry, we are unable to combine shipping costs for international customers. However, we will refund any shipping overages, on our end, back to your PayPal account.
                          What is your return policy?
