Here we have an exceptionally ornate example of an antique Gothic Revival church candlestick from the mid 1800's. It comes from France and is made of solid bronze. The bronze work is in very good antique condition, although a few of the small fittings and protrusions are slightly bent. The tip of the back spire is missing (.5") There are quite a few places where traces of the original gilding can be seen. It stands just under 24" tall, and takes a candle with a 4" diameter. As can... be seen by the last photo, it takes 3 leveling pieces for it to stand correctly. It is very heavy, thus the shipping charge shown.
