This medal is 2 inches long, weighs 26 grams, and was cast in Rome, asindicated by the hallmark. HISTORICAL Reference CatholicHoly Trinity: According to this central mystery of most Christian faiths, thereis only one God in three persons: while distinct from one another in theirrelations of origin (as the Fourth Council of the Lateran dec...lared, "it isthe Father who generates, the Son who is begotten, and the Holy Spirit whoproceeds"); and in their relations with one another, they are stated to beone in all else, co-equal, co-eternal and consubstantial, and each is God, whole and entire. Accordingly, the whole work of creation and grace inChristianity is seen as a single operation common to all three divine persons, in which each shows forth what is proper to him in the Trinity, so that allthings are "from the Father", "through the Son" and"in the Holy Spirit”. Seven Archangels: The earliest reference to a systemof seven archangels as a group appears to be in Enoch I (the Book of Enoch)which is not part of the Jewish Canon but is prevalent in the Judaic tradition, where they are named as Michael (Sunday), Gabriel (Monday), Raphael (Tuesday), Uriel (Wednesday), Raguel (Thursday), Remiel (Friday; he is described in theBook of Enoch as having fallen from grace, possibly replaced by Phanuel(angel), who is the fourth archangel) and Sariel (Saturday). While this booktoday is non-canonical in most Christian churches, it was explicitly quoted inthe New Testament (Letter of Jude 1:14-15) and by many of the early ChurchFathers. The Ethiopian Orthodox Church to this day regards it to be canonical.
