This listing is for an antique solid bronze statue of the Indian god Shiva and his wife Parvati. It is showing them in an embrace "dancing through the cosmos." The piece is in very good condition with great detail. I acquired it at an estate sale of a wealthy gentleman in northern California. He told me, that he was told, it was originally part of a larger temple incense burner. It is now sitting on a wooden stand. The statue measures (off the wood stand) approximately 7 inches tall an...d is 2 3/4 inches wide at the base. The wooden stand is 3 7/8 inches in diameter and 1 1/4 inches high. As seen in the photos it comes in two pieces. Great patina and detail on this bronze antique artwork from India. Shipping is $12.95 in USA only.
