This is an old and rare Schneider-Kreuznach loupe, definitely from before WWII, possibly before 1930. An extensive Google search yielded just one photo and description of this model of loupe, in an auction of the estate of former West Coast Playboy photo editor Marilyn Grabowski. (See letter from Grabowski above.) That loupe went for $1920.00! Of course, I'm not a Playboy photo editor so am asking much less. I can attest, however, that the loupe is wonderful. I used it to peruse... slides and contact sheets in my film days and simply have no more use for it now that I'm all-digital.
