This auction is for the Dog Schidt Optics FF58 (Factory Flare) lens along with the FF38 wide angle lens attachment by Richard Gale.
The FF58 lens itself is a modified version of the infamous Helios 44-2 58mm lens. This version features a constant oval-shaped f2.8 aperture that produces oval bokeh to mimic anamorphic lenses. The edges of the inside lens elements have also been tinted amber. This doesn't really change the overall look of the images this lens produces, but rather it ai...ds in creating tinted lens flares for a more interesting look.
This particular FF58 lens has been modified with a Nikon F mount.
The FF38 lens attachment was designed specifically for the FF58, and effectively changes the focal length from 58mm to 38mm.
Both of these items combined retailed at about $850 when they were introduced.
These are extremely rare as they have been discontinued.
