This is for a rare and striking model of the well known Medici lion. Modeled/cast in a redware body with a copper lustre glaze, probably made to resemble a bronze version. I have never seen another copper lustre version of this lion.I estimate this dates circa 1830-1840.Height to top of head approx 8.1/2" (21.5cm). Length head-tail 11.5/8" (29.5cm). Condition - overall in very good condition but part of the tail has been repaired/restored and there are several... chips around the base(one has an amateur putty repair) and a small hairline crack which only extends to one edge of the base so selling as damaged/repaired - see photos or ask questions.We are happy to combine postage for multiple purchases where possible.PLEASE DO NOT PAY UNTIL I HAVE SENT YOU AN INVOICEImportant - please read the following conditions before bidding.
