These all black bodies are becoming harder to find especially in nice condition as most have heavy brass wear but not this one. The black Canon AE-1 Program bodies cost... more at the original time of purchase so most buyers opted for the standard chrome version. I've had new mirror bumper foam put in and a new foam strip put in down the inside of this cameras back doors hinge so you'll get no light leaks. I've also had the shutter lubed so there is no shutter squeak like so many others. This is approx. a $100.00+ service that 90% of these models need. This is a very popular Manual Focus SLR 35mm Film Camera. It offers Shutter Priority Mode and a Full Manual Exposure Mode making one of the most popular cameras recommended by teachers for a 35mm SLR film photography class or a just a great camera to get creative on. The camera body is in excellent++ condition. The prism head, the lug strap sides, the back door show no paint wear, no dings, and no dents. The base plate shows some very faint surface marks and one tiny engraving with the name "JEROME" at the very end just above the winder contacts (see last picture on the right side) however it still looks cleaner than most. The rest of glossy black finish looks stunning and all printed white wording and letters are clean, bright and complete. The leatherette finish is tight, complete and mint. All shutter speeds from B/1-1000th have been tested and are working correctly. The lubed shutter has no squeak and the film advance works perfectly. The viewfinder is clear and clean. The light meter reads and adjusts accurately. The shutter curtain is also clean and straight with no wrinkles. The battery door is in perfect condition and is not chipped or broken. Included with the camera is a original Canon neck strap, a mint rubber eye-cup, a flash sync port cover, a winder port cover on the bottom, a new working battery, a original Canon AE-1 Instruction Manual, and a out-of-date roll of Kodak Professional Portra 400NC Color Print Film that still might be good for test film (no guarantees on the film). The Canon FD 50mm lens is in mint condition with no engravings, no paint wear,  no dings and no dents. All printed letters and wording is clean, bright and complete. The glass has no scratches, no fungus and no haze. The apertures are snappy and click into place positively like they should. The focus is smooth.
