Navico Tiller Pilot TP5500 with HP 5000 programmer/remote(!) brass tiller pin and manuals for TP5500 and HP5500. The manuals are very hard to find and the HP5000 manual is almost impossible. Have paper copies of each (will enclose clean copies). You want the programmer/remote and you need the manuals! A lot of features if you have the remote/programmer and documentation.
Worked perfectly for me and in very good condition. Used this system in my electric boat o...n our lake here and it was kept in an enclosed area, not exposed to the weather. The remote control/programmer is great even if you only use it as a remote. Has a long cable so you can sit back or move around the boat. Have the special brass pin insert used to connect the Tiller Pilot arm to the tiller (see pic).
I was surprised at how much power this thing had to move the tiller or motor in my case. It was uncanny how well it worked and also how it remembered all the turns so just press "Go home" on the remote and it would turn around and head back. This system is largely meant for a tiller sailboat but it does not know what it is controlling and was perfect for my Duffy Electric boat so that I did not have to have my hands on the wheel for what might be hours. Besides, it did a better job of steering, kept dead on course, and it probably saves some battery. I was amazed how straight the wake was.
Just a lot of fun actually but I sold my boat so that is why it's up for sale.
