Damaged #246 Antique French SFBJ 4 Molded Teeth Tongue Traditional Dress 13". Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.I am not taking returns. Now that EBay “helps” us by collecting taxes and other things they have made “easier to pay” by doing it on their own, it’s no where near as simple for the small seller as it used to be to return. THIS ITEM SOLD AS IS. Thank means please look well at the photos before purchase. Please do look this one up - not many to be fou...nd & those that are available cost thousands. A fractured doll gives you a chance to own & display something more unusual at a lower cost. Someone that didn’t know how to repair bisque “fixed” her. Look closely at the photos. I do not have the skill/knowledge to undo what *someone else* has done. I just wanted her rescued & to make everything else look as good as possible. I would have supported the fracture from the INSIDE so the pieces could fit back closely together!! Still, it is a rare head and beautiful costuming. I have no way to guarantee the body is original with this head, but it appears so. This is how I bought it myself (but dress now cleaned up/unwrinkled). I did not restring it or do anything drastic to it. I smoothed the dress & cleaned up the headdress. As far as I can tell, this head seems to have come with this body.Rarely seen character mold #246 size 4. This one has two small teeth & a protruding tongue! Chunky little cheeks & glass sleep eyes with metal lids. This is the only of these I have had in my home or seen myself. (Nonsmoking btw)This head does have a previous fracture! I WISH I could have been the one to repair it!!!! It would have barely been noticeable... never put glue IN the fracture, it offsets other pieces... but alas... it was done before me & I don’t feel I have the skill to undo. Making it not as noticeable is all that can be done. She also very obviously has some mold flaws, near her mouth on her right seems to be “wrinkles” in the porcelain. There is also either a chip or pour flaw on the top edge of the head. Most of her issues aren’t very noticeable when displayed! The doll herself is only 13”, but her dress is much longer! I have her suspended on a stand so her dress falls well! This makes her nearly 16” tall. Or you can fluff her dress outward & stand her on her feet. Her body is a 5 piece, light weight composition with painted socks and shoes. Her clothes are fixed on her. HER CLOTHES DO NOT COME OFF without taking them apart & probably pins into her body. Her wig is a synthetic replacement, she has no pate. Her clothing is all original and very detailed! She still has the fragile lace collar down around her shoulders and the trim and flowers on her apron! The colors are vivid with little fading as you can see. Some parts of the hat and apron may have staining from time. PLEASE enlarge photos and ask questions! She is being SOLD AS IS. She is antique and in congruent condition with her age & apparent life struggles ;-) I will pack her extremely well for her journey to you! I care that she makes it. Dolls with fractures & hairlines - packing is even more important.
