This is a vintage Hubbard 3 pound hammer or sledge in excellent condition.I'm not sure if this is a blacksmith or mason's hammer.....or neither. It's marked Hubbard with a 3 on the bottom and it features a gently crowned top which curves to the octagon faces.The hammer is in excellent condition with normal signs of use and no abuse or damage. The faces are convex and smooth though they could us a polish prior to shaping metal. I'm not all that fami...liar with these hammers and apologize if I have the specific type incorrect.The 16" hickory handle appears to be an excellent replacement, it's tight and damage free also. The head measures 4 1/2" across and each face is 1 1/4" in diameter.Please look at the above images, they show more detail than I can describe here. Shipping to the USA will be a flat rate.
