Veritas Bevel Up Jointer Plane W/ PM-V11 Blade. I only used it on one project and just don't use hand tools enough to keep it. Shipped with USPS Parcel Select Ground.
All components were just coated with Boeshield T9 for added rust prevention.
Blade was honed with diamond stones and polished with Shapton water stones, so there is no potential issue with overheating or loss of temper. The blade comes with the original plastic case and is sharp (be careful w...hen handling). No nicks or damage to the blade.
The blade is the Vertias PM-V11 tool steel. It sharpens nicely and maintains an edge for a long time. Primary bevel is 25 degrees and it has a 28 degree secondary bevel (I wrote this down on the back of the blade and on the front of the plastic blade case). The corners have been rounded slightly to minimize plane tracks, but the blade itself is straight. I didn't camber just in case it ever finds its way to a shooting board. However, you can easily camber the blade.
I tried to take good care of it. The only blemish I can see is a small scratch in the heel of the sole (I show a closeup in the last picture). This is a relatively small scratch that was on the plane when I got it new. However, it is not deep enough to catch a fingernail and I can't detect a burr, so I personally didn't think it is a big deal (but I do want to point it out in case you think it is a big deal). Other than that it looks brand new to me. Having said that, please review the pictures for yourself to get a sense of the condition. I tried to show the condition as accurately as possible.
The plane comes in the original box and with the original owner's manual (shown in the pictures).
The handle and tote are the darker wood handles that Veritas uses on its newer planes (the older Veritas planes have more of a reddish medium toned handle).
