Vaughn Ferguson, the White House Technical Service Representative who was the only one permitted continual hands on contact with the limousine.  The leather upholstery of the rear seat was removed by Ferguson four days after the assassination—light blue from the main body of the bench-style seat and dark blue from the border area—and the car was sent to a Cincinnati firm for refitting and a security upgrade for President Lyndon B.
