Exceptionally rare and original, 1860 Abraham Lincoln / Hannibal Hamlin, Republican Party Illustrated Presidential Election Ballot from the State of Connecticut.
This outstanding, Abraham Lincoln Presidential Campaign Ballot measures approx. 3 3/8" by 4" and is printed in black ink on a medium weight paper stock. There is a large illustration at the top that features a spread wing eagle surmounted by an American Flag. The eagle has a ribbon device in its bea...k that features text that reads “E. Pluribus Unum”.
Text above the illustration reads “Republican Ticket / Lincoln & Hamlin”. Below the illustration there is further text that lists the Republican Party Presidential Electors from the State of Connecticut.
This exceptionally rare and original, 1860 Lincoln / Hamlin Presidential Campaign Ballot is in very good condition – generally clean and well preserved with wear at the edge and a small stain in the margin at the lower right hand corner.
