President Kennedy / Johnson Esterbrook Presidential Bill Signer
This is a genuine Esterbrook White House Bill Signer. These pens where ordered for the Kennedy White House to be used as Kennedy’s official bill signer , but were used by President Johnson after he took office after the tragic assassination of JFK. President Johnson was never a fan of these pens and decided to o...rder different pens to be used as his official bill signers shortly after he took office. So the Johnson White House never actually ordered any of these pens that were made so famous by The Kennedy White House. This particular pen is the 43mm inscription version which was the last batch of these pens ordered from Easterbrook and are more common than the smaller inscription version that were used by Kennedy. The last photo shows a close up of the 40mm Kennedy version (Which I also have up for auction) and a 43mm version used by President Johnson which I am selling here. Without a ruler it is very hard to tell these apart. The pen is in very good condition for its age.
