Stanley No 750 BUTT CHISEL SET 750A 3 Pc. 1 " 3/4 " 1/2 " VINTAGE

Up for sale is a fantastic vintage set of Stanley No. 750 butt socket chisels in excellent condition. I believe these chisels are new old stock but I can't rule out if they've been used once or twice. They look to me to be unused with a gentle 70 year old patina.I tried to get as close as I could for photos to show the edges. In the photos it may appear to show nicks in the edges but this is the shadows of the photo along with patina on the bevel. I found no detectable nicks, gouges or... other serious damage. I'm no expert but I also see no signs of sharpening. Looks like the original machine marks. The decals are in good shape with what looks like some other Stanley sticker remnants on the 1" chisel handle.I've included two photos of ads I found online. The first from the December 1949 issue of Popular Mechanics (Vol. 92, Issue 6) and the second from a Christmas 1949 ad of unknown origin. This is the earliest reference I can find to a 3 piece 750 set. A recent auction for a set like these with the yellow logo decals had an invoice from 1965 listed as "750-c". The 750's were made from 1930-1969. Therefore its my estimation that these are the earlier version of the two, perhaps the same set from the 1949 ads.The box is in quite good condition considering it's age with only 1 torn corner and a later, aftermarket price sticker.
